Dwaipayan Choudhury (born in New Delhi) grew up in the city of his birth and then in Kolkata. He learnt Rabindrasangeet in his childhood from his father Shri Dibyendu Choudhury (disciple of eminent singer Shri Dwijen Mukhopadhyay). With time, Dwaipayan developed a taste for mutiple genres across the east and west and self-taught himself different styles of music, performing regularly with aeon at different non-professional gatherings.
However, songs of Gurudev remains at his care. Having led an extremely successful career in corporate America for several years, he decided to return to his roots and is now pursuing his dream and passion for music.
This album is a culmination of his yaers of love and celebration of music.
This album is dedicated to Gurudev, his loving family and to all without whose inspiration this debut endavour would have remained an elusive dream.
