Inspired to singing from the childhood by her parents Sri Jatindra Chandra Lodh & Late Lakshmi Lodh. She at first started learning from Pandit Late Amal Guha Thakurata. She was awarded many prizes on her performences specially from State Sangeet Academy (Rajya Sangeet Academy) competing first in the section of Folk song. For long 25 years she is practising classical music, Rabindra Sangeet & Folk Song. She developed herself under the famous Folk singer Sri Gopal Bandopadhaya. She finds inspiration of life from the Folk song in particular. The span of folk in her performances include Bhaoyaiya, Chatka, Bhatiyali, jhumur, Lalon, Hasanraja, Bijay Sarkar
