Bihaan Music has been developed with the vision of marketing Indian Classical and Indian Traditional Music.It is the sole company of India  engaged in publishing rare classical music for the worldwide listeners.It started with the “Heritage Series”,audio albums of some of the renowned artists of all times like Pt Radhika Mohan Moitra,Ustad Fayyaz Khan,Ustad Sagiruddin Khan, Ustad Bahadur Khan,Begum Akhtar,Pt Shankar Ghosh,Pt Buddhadev Dasgupta, to name a few from the elaborate list of nearly 450 titles.Bihaan Music has also come up with the viable albums of Ustad Rashid Khan,Pt Ajay Chakraborty,Ustad Shujaat Khan,Pt Budhaditya Mukherjee and several other distinguished classical vocalists and instrumentalists.The company is also making a constant effort to provide platform to many young and upcoming artists to exhibit their talents.The “Mixed Melodies”category of the Catalogue of Bihaan Music has been ornamented by regional traditional,devotional and folk albums,dvd documentaries and dance albums.

Studio Spandan was opened in Oct. 2010 by Ranajit Basu with the inspiration of the renowned musician and sarode player Sri Prattyush Banerjee and with the active participation of Bihaan Music. In order to focus and establish an inspirational studio environment for artists in Kolkata and surburbs, Studio Spandan was designed and built with utmost care by one of the very renowned sound architect Mr. Gautam Basu maintaining a philosophy of passionately producing the best possible sounding records.
